Look we’re no news blog, but this couldn’t wait. A second generation Apple TV running XBMC? That is huge. The people freed from iTunes? Yeah! XBMC claims that one can stream local media wirelessly to the Apple TV.
That is not all. That iPad you hold in your hand can also run XBMC. Yes, your iOS device will need to be jail broken, but this might just make it worth it.
I’ll be dying to see how well this works. Is there an option to boot to XBMC or iOS? How will the iOS devices get system updates from Apple? Will the updates interfere with the jail broken install of XBMC?
I didn’t see this coming, but I think it is AWESOME. Congrats to the XBMC team. You rock.
