Long Story Short learned, while out drinking with Ballmer last night, that Google has settled with Microsoft in MS’s European anti-competitive practices lawsuit. MS contended that Google acted in ways to discourage carriers from using Bing on mobile phones. In a surprise settlement, Google has agreed to give Microsoft controlling interest.
Ballmer has put forward assurances that “nothing will change at Google, except that we will now require all Google employees to wear business suits when on the campus.”
